Christians will join all of the men and women who have believed in God since the world was created. God uses their sinful, self-centered works as the basis for sending them to hell or hades. However, even though unbelievers are not instantly sent to the lake of fire, their immediate fate after death is not a pleasant one. It is a recognition that His power and holiness are filtered through His love.
