Good for the price point. Nowadays, it is home to many thriving bars and restaurants, like the Maray, inspired by Le Marais, in Paris’s 4th arrondissement. The taxi driver wasn't sure about exactly how to get there, as it literally opened the week before, but within a few minutes I was outside the door and ready to check in. It's been a hectic few months with sickness and lots of changes in our house, so it was just what the doctor ordered. I explained the rate I'd seen and asked if they would be able to beat the price I'd found on Booking.com. The staff, price, breakfast, and location take it to 5/5 for us.
The usual extras like tea and coffee, safe and so on are all present whilst there are quality toiletries and good lighting in the slick, black and chrome bathrooms.
We enjoyed a fabulous seafood platter with oysters, dressed king crab and lobster, accompanied by a perfectly chilled Pouilly Fumé. If you want to dance the night away, I’d recommend you to go to the The Cavern Club in Mathew Street, where John, Paul, George and Ringo started their plans for musical world domination. We struggled to find a hotel that weekend for a decent price and obviously wanted to be central and somewhere nice. And, all of which I've stayed with in various different countries).
