Very friendly staff. Taxi in Koh Samui do not use meter, so you have to ask for the rate before you get in the car. Development has been thwarted slightly because of the island’s regulation governing building heights. Loved every bit of my stay with them, Chaweng beach and main night life street is right behind the hostel. A seat on a mini-bus for the 20-minute ride to Chaweng costs 120 baht/person; a faster private mini-bus will cost 400 baht upwards. The staff, the cleaning, the perfect location next to the the beach, the central (15 min ) and the... Great idea to serve breakfast a'la carte. One can enjoy splendid sights of underwater mountains, coral gardens, undersea rock formations, hard and soft coral, and whale sharks when in season.

The view at the sea was amazing. If you want to go to a particular place, then hire a taxi or songthaew and negotiate the price with them first. Compared to other nearby islands, Samui's road system is very developed and there are plenty of taxis cruising about, although it's a challenge to get them to use their meters. Nathon is in the central part of the island. Samui has more than its fair share of Internet cafes. Instead, you can enjoy some truly remarkable sites of historic, cultural and religious significance as well as sights of breathtaking natural beauty.

The pier is three kilometres from the main road so your options are limited.

Prices are fairly expensive (800-1,500 baht/day for a small car), but the convenience of a small air-conditioned car may be worth it.

Be advised this is grossly inflated compared to the normal rate paid by the locals (and displayed - unfortunately in Thai only - inside the car on a small white board). The airport pickup and taxi service were very convenient. All room types offer a private pool, with views of the sea or tropical garden.... Guests can enjoy the on-site bar and the beachfront is a 7-minute walk away. This hotel features an outdoor swimming pool and a seating area on the beach.

Koh Samui attractions extend beyond the beautiful beaches the island is known for, though they are definitely attractive in their own right. There is everything necessary. On average, 3-star hotels in Koh Samui cost € 49.83 per night, and 4-star hotels in Koh Samui are € 110.16 per night. Defiantly planning to get back to the hotel on our next trip to Koh Samui. If you are based in Lamai, it is worth hiring a jeep or motorbike to explore the surrounding environs, as a lot of the Read More...
