When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted warmly by a lovely hostess who proceeded to show us to the table. To start, my girlfriend and I shared appetizers of Pikilia, which is a selection of traditional Greek spreads, Tzatziki, Skordalia, Taramosalata and Melitzanosalata, as well as Htapodi Sta Karvouna, which is marinated grilled octopus.

It's noisy so not the best place for an intimate conversation but otherwise a great choice. Aside from our table, there was only one other table occupied. The restaurant was very quiet because it was lunchtime and there were only two other tables occupied. The food is delicious and the servings plentiful. The food was excellent. Off street parking right by restaurant entrance.
A beautiful use of an old building, turned into a rustic Greek Taverna (with FREE parking). Stamna Taverna was established in February of 2008 by Alex Nissirios who hails from Karpathos, a small island in the southeastern part of the Aegean Sea, located in Greece. There was a large table away from the rest of the tables and it was a perfect area for a larger group. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The service was very good as well. Very, very noisy even though partially occupied. We split the cold combination and seafood combination appetizers, and on the menu they are listed for two; however, they easily were enough for the four of us. The food, beginning with the dips and appetizers (meze) to the truly authentic entrees are deliciously flavorful, generous portions...and served by very friendly and knowledgeable servers. We had chicken, shrimp and lamb souvlaki. In general, we enjoyed the appetizers and the desserts.
